Finn Juhl (1912-1989) was the first Danish furniture to be recognized internationally.  The trained architect and self-taught furniture designer drew the inspiration for his Finn Juhl Credenza (1955) from the cubist movement and Goether’s color wheel, reflected in the piece’s simple geometric shapes and interlocking planes and its sliding doors and six trays finished in varying shades of blue lacquer.

The first chair Fin Juhl designed for mass production, which was manufactured by France & Son c. 1950’s, Denmark. Original fabric on the pair is stamped by Davenskor.  These chairs are also featured in a book on Finn Juhl design.

It is shocking to think of Finn Juhl designing this sculptural chair in 1940 – that was 71 years ago, and the Pelican Chair is still “out there” by today’s standards.

The Ross sofa table was designed for professor Alf ross in 1948.  Made of brushed stainless steel with veneer table with stainless oval and accompanying vase.

The Chieftains Chair is in itself a space filled with symbols inspired by weaponry and customs from foreign shores. Made by the very best craftsmen in teak and walnut, this chair now exudes extreme grandeur. It is upholstered in leather.
