These early residences, a meld of modern and traditional, were constructed in the San Fernando Valley, helping to develop Sherman Oaks, Reseda and Granada Estates. During his career, Fickett earned the reputation as a leader in designing the “California Ranch” and “California Moderne” styles of dwellings.
